G R O U N D E D

GROUNDED is a Hallmarked Sterling Silver piece from the R E S I L I E N C E Range.  Mine is on my keyring.  When I need to call on it, I see and feel its direction, and I focus on grounding myself, ready for the challenges ahead, whatever they may be.

Each HANG 6 piece is finished by hand, oxidized, and patina applied individually, so no two are the same.  They have different casting marks.  They're not 'imperfect'; they are individual.  Our scars are part of who we are.  These pieces don't feel like mass-produced items because they're not.
 
There is a bit of a back story to this piece.  The origonal shown in the images was created for Jack Carr, which was kindly passed to him by Daniel Winkler of Winkler knives, who is a legend in his own right, who also has a HANG 6 piece! as does one of of the other Winkler Knives crew, which I'm really proud of.  The one in the image features Jacks crossed Winkler Sayoc tomahawks on the other side, creating it, and the journey of getting it to Jack was a real special thing for me.   So this piece is something a little special.
 
Now one thing is, please don't ask me to reproduce the crossed hawks Jack Carr USA logo.
Thats Jacks copywrited image, so under no circumstances will I make anything that carries Jacks  logo for anyone other than Jack Carr himself.   The ones for sale here feature the HANG 6 icon on both sides.
 
I may do a blog on this particular journey, the few who know about it, think it's a kinda interesting story.

I always set a topic to think about regarding resilience while working on each piece from the collection.  

This piece points downwards as a reminder of the importance of remaining grounded and stable under pressure.  This is what this piece fully represents.  

It's difficult to do much to effect your environment whilst in free fall, but when your boots are on the ground. that's a different story.

High-pressure situations in whatever form they take, professionally or personally, require mental stability and clarity to react effectively and achieve the desired outcome.

Breathe.  Feel the ground beneath your feet.

You can influence your immediate surroundings.  Be present, and find that clarity you need in the storm.
 
Keep your focus.

Believe in your abilities.

Let your resilience help you stand your ground, and be able to your environmemt as required.
