Hey, I’m Shane,
I suffer from mental health and anxiety issues, I used to be embarrassed and ashamed of it and hid it for many years but I got to a point in my life where I couldn’t see a way of carrying on, then I looked at my children and ultimately they saved me.
I openly talk about my struggles now in the hope it encourages others to do the same, I wear skulls as a sign of resilience and to remind myself I can withstand whatever life throws at me. I bought a ring from Hang 6 and I’ll wear it with pride and if anybody asks “why a skull” I’ll happily explain, it’s an awesome piece made by someone I class as a friend and I’m happy I can help him on his journey.

Shane is one of the many men who've struggled with their mental health, (me included) and is now open, honest and sharing about his experience with this once-taboo subject.
It's people like Shane who make a difference, the world needs men like this, strong men who wear their hearts on their sleeves.
There is always a way to a happier version of yourself, the road may be hard, but will always be worth it.
Proud to call Shane a friend.

The ring 'O N W A R D S' is about pushing forwards, it's about going beyond what you perceive at the time to be your limits.
Now those limits for some at times are simply trying to find enough purpose to get out of bed, eat, get outside, show up and get on with things. There is always a need for you to be, never give up! You are capable of incredible things, you just have to take the steps, no matter how small, to go and forge that more resilient you.
It means the world to me when someone finds meaning in these pieces, and that they are in some small way instrumental to helping build someone's resilience in this sometimes very challenging world.
Jewellery with meaning.
