TRL - VARDØGR
TRL - VARDØGR This is the second Kim Hughes GC - Threat Reduction Ltd / HANG 6 collaboration piece to be released.
This Bronze piece features the iconic Vegvísir, a selection of runes and the new TRL logo. Strung on Lavastone, African Turquoise, Hematite and 'Mystery' spacers.
Pronounced roughly: “VAR-doh-ger” or “VAR-dogr”
The word comes from old Nordic folklore and sits in a strange, psychologically powerful space between instinct, omen, and presence.
A marker of those who sense the shift before the world notices.
A Vardøgr is essentially a premonitory spirit or echo that arrives before a person physically appears.
People would:
- sense a presence,
- hear a voice,
- or feel someone enter…
…only for the actual person to appear minutes later, friend or foe.
It was viewed as:
- a warning,
- an advance signal,
- a projection of presence,
- or a psychic “forerunner.
- threat anticipation
- presence before impact
Not a ghost in the horror sense, more like an energetic precursor.
This concept becomes extremely powerful when tied to:
- threat detection,
- intuition,
- operational awareness,
- combat mindset,
- survival instincts,
- and reading environments before danger fully materialises.
Being Bronze, this piece will patina according to your environment/journey.
Awareness, gut feelings, intuition has never been so important.
Only 15 pieces are available on here. Kim has two of his own. I have one skull as a master.
VARDØGR - The edge when it matters.
A small piece of command pull cordage from a IED that Kim made safe in Afghanistan will be included on the rear of a TRL sticker included in the package. Actual TRL sticker received may vary from the one shown.
When these pieces are gone, they're gone.
Wrist sizing is critical!
These are made to order, sized for your wrist.
Without a wrist size I can't make your piece.
Measure at the narrowest part of the wrist, next to skin, no gaps, this will give the best fit. If you allow a bit extra the chances are the skull will keep rotating downwards and you'll want a re-size, which incurs an additional cost. Measure twice, cut once. ;)
